April 29 by Christina Tiplea Filed Under: Intentional Living, My Life

Tips for finding contentment and enjoying the season of life you're in. Time goes by quickly, don't have any regrets about not enjoying it to the fullest!Lately I’ve been struggling a lot with being able to fully enjoy this season of life I’m currently in. There is always something that needs to be maintained or cleaned in our house, as well as freelance work that I need to get done, on top of taking care of Little Miss during the day. It’s not that I’m unable to handle everything on my plate, but that by “doing it all”, I find myself not really enjoying it all as much as I should.

Don’t get me wrong, I consider myself to be a very happy person in general, I just don’t think that I enjoy living in the moment as much as I should. It’s funny because I’ve always looked forward to this current season of my life where I would have my own family, home, and work that I love. So why am I not enjoying it as much as I should be? Inspiring Ideas for Weekend ReadingHappy, happy Friday to you!

I hope your week was a productive one and that you have some fabulous plans for this weekend. After multiple Easter gatherings last weekend with each of our families, I am ready to relax and get some things done around the house this weekend. Little Miss has been wanting to walk in the worst way, which has led to a few tumbles lately. She is keeping me on my toes for sure! 9 months has proved to be quite a fun age though, and I’m looking forward to all of the adventure that is opened up to us by her being able to walk. I see lots of playground, park, and lake time in store for us in the coming warmer months and couldn’t be any more excited for it!

I’m sharing some of my favorite blog posts from the past few of weeks. Fix yourself a beverage of your choice, kick back, and enjoy!

Visit www.embracingsimpleblog.com to learn more. With juggling my business, my family, and all of the other responsibilities I have, I often have a difficult time with being fully present. More often than not, I’m not 100% engaged in any given moment. [Read more…]

How I Bought a House at 22

April 6 by Christina Tiplea Filed Under: My Life, Saving Money

Would you like to know how to buy a home as a young adult? I share my experience with how I bought a house at 22 and how you can too!We just recently passed the 3 year anniversary of when we purchased our first (and current) home, and it’s crazy to think how quickly that time has passed by. It got me thinking about the experience we had purchasing our home as young adults and how we managed to pull it off while also planning our wedding at the same time.

When my Husband and I purchased our home, I was 22 and he was 23. Many of our friends and family were intrigued by how we were able to buy a home at such a young age, and while we were both working full-time when we purchased our house, there was much more to it than having a decent income coming in. After all, plenty of lottery winners and millionaires go broke!

A Day in the Life of a Work-From-Home Mom

March 27 by Christina Tiplea Filed Under: My Life, Self-Employment

A Day in the Life of a Work-From-Home MomI always find it fascinating to read about how other people spend their day, or what their typical schedule looks like. I can’t be the only stalker nosy one out there, right? I thought it would be fun to share my own day in the life of what my schedule has been lately.

While it’s certainly not easy, I love my work and I love being able to be at home with my baby girl even more. I know that being a work-from-home Mom is not for everyone, but for anyone wondering how it’s possible to juggle work and a baby simultaneously, this is proof that it can be done. [Read more…]
