Our Halloween + Savor the Holidays Course is Now Available

November 2 by Christina Tiplea Filed Under: Holidays, Simple Living

Are you tired of feeling frenzied and stressed out in the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas? Choose happiness and joy this year instead, and learn how to Savor the Holidays! Click to read how you can slow down and soak up all the joy this holiday season has to offer! :)I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween weekend!

It was rainy and a bit on the cold side in Chicago, but we made the most of it and had a blast visiting with all of Little Miss’s Grandparents and my brother who was in town for the weekend.

Her flamingo costume was a hit, and she loved that she could see the beak peeking out from above her head. I ended up ditching the idea of gluing feathers to her costume because I ultimately decided it would be a hot mess to attempt, but she was still the cutest little flamingo I ever did see 🙂 [Read more…]

The Ultimate Clutter-Free Gift Guide

October 28 by Christina Tiplea Filed Under: Clutter-Free Gift Ideas, Holidays, Simple Living

Tired of giving the same old gifts that just end up as clutter around the recipient's home? Don't miss the ultimate clutter-free gift guide for awesome gift ideas that you will be proud to give! This guide includes gifts for everyone on your list - women, men, babies, toddlers, children, and teenagers. It's a must-read!Whether you like it or not, the holiday season is upon us!

I am thrilled, because I absolutely love Christmas and this time of year in general. It’s going to be Little Miss’s second Christmas, but it really does feel like her first because last year she was too young to appreciate any of the fun festivities that surround the holidays.

I’m so looking forward to taking her to see Christmas light displays, the beautiful Christmas tree that is set to music at a mall near us, and of course – seeing her reaction to gifts from Santa on Christmas morning!

While I am all about simplifying and trying to be as much of a minimalist parent as I can be, I still believe in Santa visiting my children on Christmas morning. I am so excited to re-live some holiday magic through her that only a child can truly experience!

That being said, I am definitely trying to limit the overall amount of gifts she is getting and am aiming for as many clutter-free gifts as possible to be entering our home. We are also focusing a lot on making sure the gifts she’s receiving present learning opportunities for her so they aren’t just toys that require a million batteries that don’t facilitate imagination or creative play. October 9 by Christina Tiplea Filed Under: Family, Simple Living

Does the thought of packing for a trip overwhelm you or make you cringe just thinking of everything you need to bring? Read these 12 Tips to Simplify Packing for Your Next Trip so you can make the process of packing easier and feel more relaxed as a result!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Atlantic Luggage. All opinions are 100% mine.

There’s something seriously freeing about packing as light as possible when traveling.

After all, you want to be focused on creating memories while on a trip – not worrying about juggling all the stuff you brought with!
