Small acts of kindness can reap big benefits in happiness for everyone involved. Click to learn the 9 small ways to show kindness to others so you can spread joy to those around you!Tracking PixelA big thank you to Kleenex Brand for sponsoring this post!

As the days become shorter this time of year, I find myself feeling a little down in the dumps over the fun and whimsy of summer being over.

While I absolutely love fall and some of winter, the thought of being stuck inside with a toddler for most of the next 5 months can be downright depressing.

I decided that instead of dwelling on my negative feelings toward the cold and dreariness of the upcoming months, I am going to focus on joy and spreading kindness to others. I feel like whenever we make an effort to touch the lives of those around us, even in a very small way, it can reap very big benefits for everyone involved.

Tips for Taking A Road Trip with A Toddler

September 30 by Christina Tiplea Filed Under: Family, My Life

Road trips can be a great way to get out of the house and make memories with your family. Here are some awesome tips for taking a road trip with a toddler to make your trip more enjoyable for everyone!I’m excited to finally share some photos of our road trip with you today! As you all know, we took a week-long road trip from Chicago to The Smoky Mountains (Gatlingburg, TN to be specific) and Charlotte, NC.

We had a super smooth drive down there and Little Miss was seriously an angel for the first few days of being in the car, eating in restaurants, and being out of her element. But then things got a little hairy, as they quickly do with a toddler in tow, and we learned some very valuable lessons in traveling and taking a road trip with a toddler!

I wanted to share what tools and strategies we found helpful in traveling with our 14-month-old in hopes that this will help any of you that are planning on traveling with small children in the near future. [Read more…]

4 Ways to Stay Focused on Your Long-Term Goal

September 28 by Christina Tiplea Filed Under: Productivity, Self-Employment

Struggling to stay on track while working towards achieving your goals? Here are 4 ways to stay focused on your long-term goal so you can accomplish it!Hi friends! Rebecca is sharing a great guest post with us today with fabulous tips on how to stay focused on your goals. Enjoy! XO Christina

How many times while trying to achieve a long-term goal of yours do you start to get unmotivated or off track? Sometimes it is hard to continually have the strong focus you had at the beginning of goal setting, months or years after you start that goal.

My husband and I are currently saving up for a down payment for our first house, so I wanted to share what we do to keep our eyes on the prize even though it’s probably another year and a half away.

While we are very fortunate to rent a pretty new 1 bedroom apartment in my hometown and we have very respectful neighbors and a good landlord, most of our friends are buying houses. Even though it is fun to see them get their first homes and settle in, it is also hard for us since we can’t wait until it’s our turn to move into the first place that will be really “ours”.

Today I’m sharing 4 things we do to stay focused and driven through our long-term goals! [Read more…]

11 Reasons to Own Less Stuff

September 21 by Christina Tiplea Filed Under: Cleaning & Decluttering, Intentional Living, Saving Money, Simple Living

Tired of feeling like your stuff owns you instead of you owning it? Here are 11 reasons to own less stuff and take back control of your life and your home!I have been on a complete purging rampage in our house lately.

Considering I’ve been in the process of hardcore decluttering our possessions for about a year now, I have been completely shocked by how much stuff still left that we never use.

It all just keeps getting shoved into closets or my office (doesn’t everyone have a signature room where they hide crap when guests come over?).

And I am sick of it. [Read more…]

It’s not that I’m ashamed of the fact that I’m a blogger. It’s quite the opposite actually! It just was a topic that never naturally entered a conversation with a stranger before, so I had yet to bring it up. That all changed yesterday though and it felt pretty exhilarating! [Read more…]
