The Ultimate Clutter-Free Gift Guide

October 28 by Christina Tiplea Filed Under: Clutter-Free Gift Ideas, Holidays, Simple Living

Tired of giving the same old gifts that just end up as clutter around the recipient's home? Don't miss the ultimate clutter-free gift guide for awesome gift ideas that you will be proud to give! This guide includes gifts for everyone on your list - women, men, babies, toddlers, children, and teenagers. It's a must-read!Whether you like it or not, the holiday season is upon us!

I am thrilled, because I absolutely love Christmas and this time of year in general. It’s going to be Little Miss’s second Christmas, but it really does feel like her first because last year she was too young to appreciate any of the fun festivities that surround the holidays.

I’m so looking forward to taking her to see Christmas light displays, the beautiful Christmas tree that is set to music at a mall near us, and of course – seeing her reaction to gifts from Santa on Christmas morning!

While I am all about simplifying and trying to be as much of a minimalist parent as I can be, I still believe in Santa visiting my children on Christmas morning. I am so excited to re-live some holiday magic through her that only a child can truly experience!

That being said, I am definitely trying to limit the overall amount of gifts she is getting and am aiming for as many clutter-free gifts as possible to be entering our home. We are also focusing a lot on making sure the gifts she’s receiving present learning opportunities for her so they aren’t just toys that require a million batteries that don’t facilitate imagination or creative play. 5 Easy and Inexpensive Fall Decor Ideas

August 12 by Christina Tiplea Filed Under: Holidays, Saving Money

Wondering how to decorate your home for fall within a budget? Here are 5 easy and inexpensive fall decor ideas that are practical too!The start of fall is so refreshing to me. As much as I love summer, there’s something about the crisp air, colorful leaves, and fun fall activities that I really look forward to.

This might be a little on the early side, but I usually like to put my fall decor up shortly after labor day weekend. By the end of August, I’m ready for some cooler weather and being able to wear sweaters and jeans on a daily basis.

I love fall decor, but I’m not the craftiest person and can’t make half of the cute things I see on Pinterest. So I tend to gravitate towards inexpensive options that require zero crafting on my part, and don’t take up a huge amount of space when I need to store them after fall is over. [Read more…]
